Machinists Local S6 Women’s Committee Donates Hygiene Products to Domestic Violence Survivors

The Machinists Local S6 Women’s Committee at Bath Iron Works contributed an impressive amount of hygiene products as part of its annual Hygiene Drive for Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The donations were given to New Hope Midcoast which provides support, advocacy, prevention, and education services for people affected by domestic abuse, dating violence, and stalking. New Hope Midcoast serves Sagadahoc, Lincoln, Knox, and Waldo counties.

“These products will go a long way to help some of our most vulnerable citizens stay healthy,” Local S6 said in a statement.

The committee gave special thanks to: R.M. Tate’s Salvage Warehouse, Big Lots of Brunswick, Smile4ME Dental Hygiene, Bath Iron Works, IAM Local S7 members, IAM Local S6 members, and IAM General Secretary-Treasurer Dora Cervantes for supporting the drive.
