Local S7 is a labor union affiliated with the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAMAW). We are a critical part of the workforce at Bath Iron Works, where the best warships in the world are built for the United States Navy. We held our first General Membership Meeting on June 21st 1982. We represent many different trades such as Surveyors, Trade Inspectors, Planning Technicians, Admin Technicians, Database Technicians, Machine Programming Technicians, Telecommunications Technicians, and Welding Lab Technicians. We work hard every day and are proud to honor the tradition of shipbuilding that led to our motto,
“Bath Built is Best Built.”
